Internet Broadcasting Server http://www.broadcasting-software.com/ |
Reference: Image settings
BS-Server can also stream images. Use this group of controls to set the properties of the images stream. You can either customize your own images stream, or use predefined values by selecting a "Preset" in the toolbar. Send Images Check this box to enable images streaming. Supported formats are JPG, PNG and BMP. When this box is unchecked, no images are broadcast and all other fields of the Image Tab are ignored.
Bandwidth The bandwidth of your broadcast is shared between the images stream and the audio stream. This textbox allocates bandwidth to the images stream. The best value depends on the overall properties of your broadcast. If you want to stream large images with good graphic quality, more bandwidth will be required.
Example: if you intend to broadcast to people who connect to the Internet with modems, total bandwidth should not exceed 54 Kbps. This bandwidth could be split like this: 30 Kbps for the images stream and 24 Kbps for the audio. You will then set other fields (Width, Height, Quality, Timing) to match this 30 Kbps bandwidth. The Bandwidth Usage indicator will help you to find the best values.
Bandwidth Usage indicator This gauge monitors the image bandwidth usage when the broadcast is in progress.
The values of the Image Settings group of controls should be set in order to have the gauge come as close as possible to 100%, without exceeding it. Notice however that the only consequence of exceeding 100% is that some images will be displayed by BS-Tuner for a longer duration than defined in the Timing textbox.
Width, Height Images are resized before being uploaded. Larger size requires more bandwidth. To lessen the bandwidth of your broadcast, set lower size values.
Quality Image data is compressed before being uploaded. Better quality means less compression and requires more bandwidth. To lessen the bandwidth of your broadcast, set lower quality values. 100=best quality, 50=medium quality, 20-30=low quality.
Filesfrom Folder Broadcast all JPG, PNG and BMP files stored in this folder. Files are processed in alphabetical order.
Subfolders Check this box to broadcast all image files from the folder defined above, and from its subfolders.
Timing Tells how long (in seconds) each image should be displayed by BS-Tuner. Shorter timings require more bandwidth. To lessen the bandwidth of your broadcast, set larger timings.
Preview Check this box to display thumbnails of the images while they are being processed.
